The 2012 International Ocean Vector Winds Science Team (IOVWST) Meeting

Dear colleague,

On behalf of the organizing committee, we wish to extend our cordial invitation for you to attend the 2012 International Ocean Vector Winds Science Team (IOVWST) meeting in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on June 12-14.  The conference venue will be the Utrecht Centraal Museum, Netherlands. The meeting will address the following topics:

  1. Invited Programmatic Talks;
  2. Meteorology;
  3. Oceanography;
  4. Climate Data Records and Cal/Val;
  5. First results from the OSCAT, HY2A and MetOp-B scatterometer instruments;
  6. Future Ocean Vector Wind Missions;
  7. New Products;
  8. Surface fluxes; air-sea interaction;

Suggestions for contributions on ocean vector wind science topics in other areas are welcome as well.

Your contributions are expected to be of great value to the participants. You may register and submit abstracts on the meeting website: . There is much to see in Utrecht and the meeting will be hosted in a museum. KNMI is near Utrecht and is the local organizer of the meeting in its capacity of leadership of the Scatterometer activities in the EUMETSAT Satellite Application Facilities.
