Next eSurge training event: 2-4 December 2014 in Geneva

The eSurge project is pleased to announce its next training event, Using Earth Observation Data in Storm Surge Forecasting Systems, which will take place at the WMO's premises in Geneva on 2-4 December 2014.

This course is aimed at people who plan to integrate Earth Observation (EO) data into operational prediction of storm surges. The course will be highly practical in nature, with a focus on group work and on interaction with the data. Participants are encouraged to share their own experience, in terms of issues faced and problems solved, as well as learning from others.

It follows on from, and builds upon, the successful training event organised by eSurge in Cork, Ireland, earlier this year. It is not necessary to have attended the earlier course.

Registration for the course are now open.  Click here to apply. The deadline for all applications is July 19th. If you wish to apply for travel support please note that there is an earlier deadline of July 4th which applies. More details can be found on the event website.
