eSurge update July 2013

(This email was sent out to our mailing list, please sign up if you would like to receive future bulletins.)

Dear all,

It has been a while since we were in touch regarding the eSurge project, so we thought you would be interested to get an update from us. We have just published the latest eSurge newsletter, giving an overview of current and future project activities. The newsletter is available online here.

We would particularly like to draw your attention to the Storm Surge Networking Event to be held in Venice, on 18-20 November 2013. This will discuss the needs of the storm surge modelling and forecasting community and how satellite data can be used to meet these needs. The event is free and is open to anyone with an interest in storm surges. More details and a registration form can be found at www.storm-surge.info/forum-2013.

eSurge exists to improve the modelling and forecasting of storm surges through the increased use of advanced satellite products. The eSurge database now contains data for almost 100 storm surge events, across several areas of interest. We will be adding more soon, including new areas of interest, so let us know if there are any events or areas that you are particularly interested in. The database can be accessed online here.

For more information on the project, to access data or to get in touch, visit our website at www.storm-surge.info.

Best regards on behalf from the eSurge project team.
